Socially distanced tree planting at Enovert’s Hempsted Landfill Site in Gloucestershire with Richard Graham MP, the Leader of Gloucester City Council Councillor Richard Cook and Parliamentary Researcher Daniel Seamarks.
The planting is the first phase of plans to provide a woodland scheme at Hempsted and reflects Enovert’s commitment to restoring the 350-acre site. Enovert’s sustainable restoration schemes such as those completed at the Lyme and Wood Country Park and the Thameside Nature Discovery Park add significant environmental, ecological and community benefit making best use of the land resource once landfilling has been completed.
The visit also provided an opportunity to view the Hempsted composting operations with Enovert CEO Mark Silvester and Area Manager Graeme Buckman.
